Altrion.ai Inc. operates Altrion.ai, a personal financial aggregation, analysis, and educational technology platform. Altrion is a California-incorporated financial technology software company only. We are not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, tax preparer, insurance company, or any other type of licensed or regulated financial institution or professional. Altrion is not registered with, licensed by, or supervised by the SEC, FINRA, OCC, CFTC, or any state securities regulator or banking regulator.
Altrion's legal foundation as a non-advisory platform is grounded in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Altrion's operations are designed to remain within the Publisher's Exclusion under Section 202(a)(11)(D). The platform presents options, educational scenarios, and general observations. It does not tell users to buy, sell, hold, or transfer any specific asset.
Altrion does not operate under fiduciary standards applicable to Registered Investment Advisers or under the standards of conduct applicable to broker-dealers under Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI). Altrion owes you no duty of care, duty of loyalty, or suitability obligation with respect to any financial decision you make.
All financial decisions you make are made solely by you at your own discretion and risk. Before making any significant financial decision, consult a qualified licensed professional appropriate to your situation, which may include a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), a FINRA-registered broker-dealer, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), an enrolled agent, or a licensed attorney.
Past performance of any asset, portfolio, or strategy presented on this platform is not indicative of future results. All scenario models, projections, simulations, and forward-looking outputs are illustrative only and based on assumptions that may not be realized.
Altrion aggregates data from cryptocurrency exchanges and blockchain wallets and provides educational information about digital assets. Cryptocurrency and other digital assets carry unique risks, including price volatility, regulatory uncertainty, exchange risk, smart contract risk, and the absence of FDIC, SIPC, or any government-backed insurance protection.
Any unrealized gain/loss tracking, tax-loss harvesting alerts, cost basis data, or other tax-related information is provided for general informational and educational awareness only. This is not tax advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney.
Altrion aggregates data from third-party providers including Plaid, cryptocurrency exchange APIs, brokerage data feeds, and public blockchain infrastructure. The accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of this data depends on third-party systems outside Altrion's control. Altrion makes no warranty as to the accuracy or timeliness of any third-party data displayed.
Altrion's access to your connected financial accounts is strictly read-only. Altrion cannot and does not initiate, authorize, or execute any financial transaction, funds transfer, securities trade, or asset movement on your behalf. Altrion does not hold custody of any of your assets.
Your use of Altrion.ai does not create a fiduciary, advisory, agency, partnership, or any other special legal relationship between you and Altrion. Altrion is a software tool and information service. It is not your financial adviser and has no legal obligation to act in your best financial interest.
To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Altrion.ai Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or reliance on, any information, content, or output provided through the Altrion.ai platform, regardless of the form or theory of the claim.
Effective Date: August 11, 2026 · Version 7.1 · Altrion.ai Inc.
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Altrion.ai Inc., a California stock corporation. By accessing or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, are a legal resident of the United States, have full legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under California law, and that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Platform is intended for U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older. Any account created by a person under the age of 18 is void ab initio and of no legal effect. The Platform is not offered to residents of countries outside the United States.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. Each account is for individual use only by a single named person. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all accounts and may not be disabled. You agree to notify Altrion immediately at hello@altrion.ai upon becoming aware of any unauthorized access to your account.
Altrion provides a personal financial aggregation and analysis platform that connects to financial accounts you authorize via Plaid, Inc. and other third-party integrations; aggregates and displays net worth, account balances, and transaction data; generates AI-powered financial insights and educational content; and provides an AI-powered conversational assistant (Ask Altrion) that responds to financial questions using your connected account data as context. The Platform is a software tool and information service only. Altrion is not a robo-adviser and does not provide individualized investment advice.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA): Altrion is committed to protecting your nonpublic personal information (NPI) as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Altrion collects, processes, and uses your personal financial data only as outlined in Document 4 (Privacy Policy). Altrion will not disclose your NPI to non-affiliated third parties without your explicit consent, except as permitted by law. You may withdraw consent for NPI sharing at any time by contacting hello@altrion.ai. For API Access, connecting a third-party application constitutes explicit, specific consent to share NPI with that application only. See Section 3.5A and Document 4 for complete details.

Altrion may offer the ability to connect your Altrion account to third-party applications through application programming interfaces (APIs), including via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) (collectively, API Access). API Access allows authorized third-party applications to retrieve certain data from your Altrion account on your behalf.
By enabling API Access, you acknowledge and agree that:
You authorize the connection. When you connect a third-party application to your Altrion account, you are directing Altrion to share your account data, including financial account information, transaction history, balances, holdings, and other data available through the Services, with that application. Altrion shares this data at your direction and with your consent.
Third-party applications are not controlled by Altrion. Altrion is not responsible for how any third-party application stores, processes, displays, or uses your data once it has been shared. Your use of any third-party application is governed by that application's own terms and privacy policies.
Read-only access. API Access is currently limited to read-only retrieval of your data. Third-party applications connected via API Access cannot modify, delete, or create data within your Altrion account.
Data already shared. Once data has been transmitted to a third-party application, that data is subject to the third party's own privacy policy and data practices. Altrion cannot retrieve, modify, or delete data that has already been shared with a third-party application.
You can revoke access at any time through your account settings. Revoking access will stop future data sharing but will not affect data already shared with the third-party application.
Acceptable use. API Access is provided for your personal use. You may not use API Access to systematically extract, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit Altrion data or Services.
Scope of access. Altrion does not currently support partial or granular access permissions. You should only authorize applications you trust with your complete financial data.
Core platform features require you to connect financial accounts through Plaid, Inc., a licensed financial data aggregator. Altrion never stores, receives, or has access to your primary bank username or password. You may disconnect accounts at any time through Platform settings or through my.plaid.com. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy at plaid.com/legal. See Document 4, Sections 4.4 and 4.4A, for the specific Plaid data products Altrion requests and what each product returns.
Altrion shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance that results directly or indirectly from causes beyond Altrion's reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, cyberattacks on infrastructure providers, outages or service interruptions at Stripe, Plaid, or Twilio, or actions by third-party service providers outside Altrion's control. Altrion may also modify, restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate any feature if required to do so by applicable law or regulatory directive.
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose. You further agree not to:
If you submit feedback, suggestions, feature requests, or bug reports to Altrion through any channel, you grant Altrion a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute that feedback for any purpose, including to improve and commercialize the Platform.
All content, features, functionality, trademarks, software, AI models, algorithms, and design elements of the Platform are the exclusive property of Altrion.ai Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property, trade secret, and competition laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or license to any Altrion intellectual property beyond the limited personal access right described herein.
The Platform is provided as is and as available without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Altrion does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that data obtained from third-party sources will be accurate or reliable; or that any AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or free from error.
Altrion does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free Platform access. The Platform may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical failures, third-party API outages (including Stripe, Plaid, or Twilio outages), or causes beyond Altrion's reasonable control. Altrion shall not be liable for any loss resulting from Platform unavailability, data delays, or system failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Altrion's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total subscription fees paid by you to Altrion in the three calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or, for Annual Plan subscribers, the portion of the annual fee attributable to that three-month period); or (b) one hundred dollars ($100.00).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Altrion.ai Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of or access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation; (d) your infringement of any third-party right; (e) any financial decision you make based on information from the Platform; or (f) any unauthorized, false, or fraudulent payment information you submit to Stripe in connection with your subscription.
This section sets forth Altrion's right to recover costs that Altrion incurs as a result of disputes, chargebacks, card network enforcement actions, Stripe account reviews, investigations, or legal proceedings caused by your conduct. These rights apply in addition to, and are not limited or capped by, the liability cap in Section 3.13 or the indemnification obligations in Section 3.14.
(a) Chargeback and Payment Dispute Costs. If you initiate a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal without a legitimate good-faith basis, every cost Altrion incurs as a result is your financial obligation, including: the original subscription charge (Monthly Plan or Annual Plan, as applicable); all dispute and chargeback fees charged by Stripe or the relevant card network (typically $15.00 per disputed transaction, regardless of outcome); all representment preparation costs and legal fees; all card network monitoring program fees and assessments described in Document 9; and any costs arising from Stripe account review, reserve holds, suspension, or termination resulting from your dispute activity.
(b) Legal and Regulatory Defense Costs. If any third-party claim, regulatory investigation, or legal proceeding is initiated against Altrion and is directly caused by your breach of these Terms, your fraudulent conduct, or false statements you made to Altrion, Stripe, or any regulatory or judicial body, every cost Altrion incurs is your financial obligation, including all attorneys' fees, regulatory fines and penalties, investigation expenses, and settlement amounts.
(c) Collection Rights and Interest. Any amounts you owe Altrion under this Section 3.15 are due within 30 days of Altrion's written demand. Unpaid amounts bear interest at the maximum rate permitted under California law. Altrion may charge validated amounts to your payment method on file with Stripe with at least 7 days written advance notice, refer unpaid amounts to a collections agency, or pursue recovery through binding arbitration or litigation.
Altrion is subject to federal and state Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) laws enforced by the FTC, CFPB, and California Attorney General under the California Unfair Competition Law (UCL, Business and Professions Code Section 17200 et seq.). Altrion does not engage in deceptive practices or practices that exploit users' behavioral biases. If you believe Altrion has engaged in deceptive or abusive conduct, contact hello@altrion.ai.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Alameda County, California, under California law. This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. Section 1 et seq.). You and Altrion each waive the right to bring or participate in any class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, or collective proceeding. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of account creation by emailing hello@altrion.ai with the subject line ARBITRATION OPT-OUT.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, including the California Corporations Code, without regard to conflict of law provisions. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, each party consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Alameda County, California.
Altrion may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, to the extent permitted by California law. You may terminate your account at any time through Platform settings or by contacting hello@altrion.ai. Termination does not release you from any financial obligation accrued before termination.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. In the event of the death or legal incapacitation of an account holder, an authorized legal representative may contact hello@altrion.ai to request account closure and, where technically feasible, a data export. Altrion will require reasonable documentation of legal authority before acting on any such request.

All AI-generated content is informational and educational content only. It is generated automatically by software and has not been reviewed by a licensed financial professional before being displayed to you. AI output does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other form of professional advice. Altrion is not a robo-adviser and does not provide individualised investment advice through its AI features.
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated outputs, commonly called hallucinations. You must independently verify any factual claim, number, or projection generated by Altrion's AI before relying on it for any financial decision.
Altrion's AI uses your connected account data as context but has no knowledge of many factors that are material to sound financial planning, including: family health status and anticipated medical expenses; estate planning objectives; employment situation and income changes; insurance coverage and liability exposure; business ownership interests not reflected in connected accounts; pending litigation or legal obligations; international tax status; and any personal or emotional factors affecting your relationship with risk.
All scenario models, Monte Carlo simulations, retirement projections, and all other forward-looking outputs are illustrative only. They are not guarantees, predictions, forecasts, or promises of future financial outcomes. They are based on mathematical models incorporating user-supplied inputs and assumptions about future returns, inflation, interest rates, tax rates, and other variables that may not reflect actual future conditions. Actual financial results will differ from any projection shown, and the magnitude of those differences may be substantial.
Any unrealised gain/loss tracking, cost basis analysis, or tax-loss harvesting content generated by Altrion AI is for general informational awareness only. This content is not tax advice, may not reflect current IRS guidance or state tax authority positions, and should not be used to prepare tax returns or make tax elections without independent professional verification.
AI models may reflect biases present in training data that could result in outputs that inadequately serve certain users. Under UDAAP laws, Altrion is prohibited from using AI that engages in discriminatory, manipulative, or deceptive practices. Altrion monitors AI output quality and evaluates for potential bias. If you experience AI output you believe is biased, discriminatory, or manipulative, report it immediately to hello@altrion.ai.
All AI-generated content templates, prompt frameworks, and insight categories are reviewed and approved by qualified human reviewers before Platform launch. Individual dynamic AI responses generated in real time cannot be pre-reviewed. Altrion compensates for this through continuous output monitoring, user feedback mechanisms, and model guardrails designed to prevent out-of-scope responses.
Altrion complies with applicable state AI disclosure laws and implements AI identification disclosures globally across all users, without geographic restriction.
Utah Artificial Intelligence Policy Act (SB 226, 2025 Session): Utah law establishes a safe harbour for businesses that clearly disclose, at the outset of and throughout an interaction, that the user is interacting with generative AI and not a human. Altrion's disclosure implementation is designed to qualify for this safe harbour.
Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act (SB25B-004, effective June 30, 2026): Colorado's law requires disclosure to consumers when they are interacting with an AI system intended to interact with consumers. Altrion's global disclosure approach satisfies this requirement from the Platform's launch date.
| Disclosure Element | Specification |
|---|---|
| Persistent Chat Label | 'AI Assistant (not a human)', displayed continuously in the Ask Altrion chat interface and cannot be dismissed. |
| Session-Start Disclosure | Displayed before the first AI response of every new session: 'You are interacting with an AI assistant, not a human. AI responses may be inaccurate. Do not rely on AI output as professional financial, tax, or legal advice.' |
| Session Re-Disclosure | The session-start disclosure is re-displayed at the start of each new conversation session, satisfying Utah's safe harbour requirement. |
| Insight Labels | All AI-generated dashboard insights are labelled 'AI-Generated Insight' with a linked disclosure statement. |
| Scenario Model Labels | All AI-generated scenario model outputs are labelled 'AI-Generated Illustration, Not a Guarantee or Prediction.' |
| Content Footer | All AI-generated content pages include: 'This content was generated by artificial intelligence and has not been reviewed by a licensed financial professional.' |
Altrion's AI capabilities are powered in part by the Anthropic Claude API. Financial data submitted to the Anthropic API is governed by a data processing agreement that expressly prohibits Anthropic from using your financial data for AI model training. Your data is used exclusively to generate real-time outputs for your own use within the Platform.
If you encounter an AI-generated insight, response, or projection that you believe is inaccurate, misleading, potentially harmful, or inconsistent with this disclosure, please report it using the feedback button displayed on all AI-generated content within the Platform, or by emailing hello@altrion.ai.

Subscription payments for Altrion.ai are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe"), a payment processing and merchant-of-record infrastructure provider. Stripe is not affiliated with Altrion.ai Inc. and does not endorse, sponsor, or assume any liability for the Altrion platform or its services.
| Data Type | Handling |
|---|---|
| Data Collected by Altrion | Billing name, billing email, subscription plan selected, last 4 digits of card, card brand, expiration month/year |
| Data Tokenised by Stripe | Full card number (PAN) and CVV captured and tokenised directly by Stripe at the point of entry; Altrion never receives, transmits, or stores the full PAN |
| CVV / Security Code | Collected only by Stripe at checkout; never stored by Altrion or Stripe after transaction authorisation |
| Recurring Billing Token | Stripe assigns a Payment Method and Customer ID to your billing profile; cannot be reverse-engineered to reveal card details |
| PCI DSS Scope | Altrion integrates Stripe using Stripe-hosted payment elements (Stripe.js / Stripe Elements), which keeps Altrion's servers outside the cardholder data environment and qualifies Altrion for PCI DSS SAQ A, the lowest-burden self-assessment level |
Altrion's subscriptions are automatically renewing subscriptions governed by California's Automatic Renewal Law (Business and Professions Code Sections 17600 to 17606) and the federal Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA). The following material terms are disclosed clearly and conspicuously before any subscription is initiated, for both available tiers:
| Material Term | Monthly Plan | Annual Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription Price | $15.00 per month | $160.00 per year |
| Free Trial Duration | 14 days; no charge during the free trial | 14 days; no charge during the free trial |
| Renewal | Automatically renews each month until you cancel | Automatically renews each year until you cancel |
| Renewal Reminder | Not required for terms under one year | Email reminder sent at least 30 days before each annual renewal charge |
| Cancellation Method | Cancel any time in Platform settings (Account > Subscription > Cancel) or by emailing hello@altrion.ai | Cancel any time in Platform settings (Account > Subscription > Cancel) or by emailing hello@altrion.ai |
| Post-Trial Charge | After the 14-day free trial, your payment method will be charged $15.00 unless you cancel before the trial ends | After the 14-day free trial, your payment method will be charged $160.00 unless you cancel before the trial ends |
Altrion does not charge surcharges, convenience fees, or any additional fees on top of the stated subscription price for either tier. The price displayed at checkout is the total price you will be charged.
Altrion uses Stripe Radar, an automated fraud-detection system, to screen transactions for signs of stolen payment credentials, account takeover, or other fraudulent activity. Stripe Radar may decline a transaction, request additional verification (such as 3D Secure / Stripe Verify authentication), or flag an account for manual review. Altrion is not liable for transactions declined by Stripe's fraud-screening systems, and you acknowledge that Altrion may suspend Platform access while a flagged transaction or account is under review.
If your payment method is declined or a charge fails, Altrion uses Stripe's Smart Retries to: (a) automatically retry the charge on an optimised schedule over a retry window of up to 14 days; (b) send email notification of the failed payment and a link to update your payment method; and (c) suspend your Platform access if payment remains unresolved after the retry window closes. Account suspension due to non-payment preserves your data for 30 days before permanent closure if payment is not resolved.
You may cancel your Altrion subscription at any time through Platform settings under Account > Subscription > Cancel, or by emailing hello@altrion.ai. Cancellation stops all future recurring charges immediately. Your Platform access continues through the end of the current paid billing period (monthly or annual, as applicable). Written confirmation of cancellation and inactive status will be sent within 7 days.
If you believe an Altrion charge is incorrect, unauthorised, or erroneous, please contact hello@altrion.ai before initiating a dispute or chargeback with your card issuer. Stripe supports a refund and credit process that can resolve most billing issues quickly through direct communication with Altrion, without the need for a formal dispute. If you initiate a dispute through your card issuer, Altrion reserves the right to suspend your Platform access pending resolution and to submit all relevant records, including usage logs and consent records, to Stripe and the card issuer through Stripe's dispute-evidence process. Any dispute fee, chargeback fee, or related cost incurred by Altrion as a result of a dispute that is not found in your favour will be passed through to you in full per Section 3.15(a) of the Terms of Service.
Altrion subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by applicable California law or as determined in Altrion's sole discretion. Contact hello@altrion.ai within 30 days of the charge date for billing disputes. Trial period cancellations before the first charge result in no charge and no refund obligation. Annual Plan subscribers who cancel mid-term are not entitled to a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the annual term, except as required by California law.
Stripe acts as an independent payment processor and is not Altrion's agent. Altrion is not responsible for, and disclaims liability arising from, any act, omission, outage, error, or policy decision made by Stripe, including payment holds, reserve requirements, account reviews, or service interruptions, except to the extent caused by Altrion's own integration error.

Mandatory onboarding screens — see Section 7.0 for sequence; all 9 acknowledgments must be individually checked before account activation.
Altrion's onboarding flow follows this order:
1. Account creation: full name, email, password. Email verification.
2. Legal consent screen, presented before any sensitive personal or financial data is collected. This screen presents Document 1 (About This Agreement), Document 3 (Terms of Service), and Document 4 (Privacy Policy) for review, and requires the user to affirmatively agree before proceeding. This satisfies the requirement that privacy and data-use notice be given at or before the point of collection under CCPA and GLBA.
3. Profile and financial onboarding: display name, full name, date of birth, income, and phone number for OTP. Each sensitive field is accompanied by an inline, point-of-collection disclosure immediately adjacent to the field: Date of birth and income fields — a short-form notice referencing Document 4, Section 4.2, stating the data is collected for identity verification and AI-personalised insights and will not be sold or used for advertising. Phone number field — the Twilio SMS OTP disclosure and CTA text set out in Document 4, Section 4.14, displayed directly beneath the field before the user can proceed.
4. Full acknowledgment checklist (Section 7.2 below), presented as a clickwrap screen immediately before account activation.
5. Subscription plan selection (Monthly or Annual) and payment method entry via Stripe.
6. Account activated; user directed to dashboard.
This form is a mandatory onboarding screen presented as a clickwrap agreement. The following requirements must be implemented without exception:
Acknowledgment 1 — About This Agreement
I understand that I am entering into a legally binding agreement with Altrion.ai Inc., a California stock corporation. I have read Document 1 (About This Agreement), which explains how this agreement works, how acceptance is recorded, and how to cancel my account if I do not agree. Prior versions of these documents are available at altrion.ai/legal/versions.
Acknowledgment 2 — Informational Platform Only; Not Financial Advice
I understand that Altrion.ai is a financial technology software platform providing informational and educational tools only. Altrion.ai Inc. is not a bank, broker-dealer, Registered Investment Adviser, robo-adviser, financial planner, tax preparer, or any other type of licensed financial professional. Nothing on Altrion constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. I will not make financial decisions based solely on Altrion content without consulting a qualified professional, and I understand I am solely responsible for my own financial decisions.
Acknowledgment 3 — AI Features and Limitations
I understand that Altrion uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to generate financial insights, scenario models, and conversational responses. I understand that all AI features are identified with persistent labels confirming I am interacting with AI and not a human. I understand that AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading outputs (hallucinations), that AI content has not been reviewed by a licensed professional, and that I must independently verify any AI-generated factual claim before relying on it. I have read Document 5 (AI Disclosure).
Acknowledgment 4 — Connected Accounts, Third-Party Data, and SMS Verification
I understand that by connecting financial accounts through Altrion, I am authorising Plaid, Inc. to access and transmit my account data to Altrion, as described in Document 4, Sections 4.4 and 4.4A. Altrion never stores my bank login credentials and my access to financial accounts is strictly read-only. I may revoke this authorisation at any time. I also understand that account balances and other data may be delayed or inaccurate due to third-party systems outside Altrion's control, and that I should verify important financial information directly with my financial institutions before acting on it. I understand that Altrion uses Twilio Inc. to send one-time login codes by SMS to the phone number I provide, as described in Document 4, Section 4.14, that message and data rates may apply, and that replying STOP will block future login codes unless I reply START to resume or set an alternate two-factor method in Account Settings.
Acknowledgment 5 — Cryptocurrency Information and Projections
I understand that all cryptocurrency information on Altrion is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice. I understand that digital assets carry unique risks including price volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and the absence of FDIC or SIPC protection. I also understand that all scenario models, projections, Monte Carlo simulations, and other forward-looking content on Altrion are illustrative only and are not guarantees, predictions, or promises of future financial outcomes. Actual results may differ materially from any projection shown.
Acknowledgment 6 — Dispute Protection and Cost Recovery
I understand that if I initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without a legitimate basis, violate Altrion's Terms, or engage in fraudulent conduct, Altrion may recover its resulting costs from me, including Stripe and card network dispute fees, legal and regulatory defence costs, card network program assessments, and account investigation costs. I have read Section 3.15 of the Terms of Service (Document 3) and Document 6 (Stripe Payment Disclosure). I understand these provisions are intended to protect Altrion from bad-faith conduct and do not affect ordinary users acting in good faith.
Acknowledgment 7 — Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
I understand that disputes with Altrion are resolved through binding individual arbitration, not class action lawsuits, under the Federal Arbitration Act and California law. I understand that I may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of account creation by emailing hello@altrion.ai with the subject ARBITRATION OPT-OUT. I have read Sections 3.17 and 3.18 of the Terms of Service (Document 3) for complete details.
Acknowledgment 8 — Data Breach Policy, Privacy, and API Access
I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States. I have read and agree to Altrion's Privacy Policy (Document 4). I understand that in the event of a security incident involving data held by Plaid, Stripe, or Twilio, Altrion will refer the incident to the relevant provider for investigation, and that Altrion's liability for breaches originating within third-party systems is limited per Sections 4.8(d) and 3.13 of the Terms of Service. I understand that if I choose to connect third-party applications via API Access, data shared with those applications is governed by the third party's own privacy policy and that Altrion cannot retrieve data already transmitted to third parties. I understand Altrion will never sell my personal financial data or use it for advertising purposes.
Acknowledgment 9 — Subscription Plan Selection and Billing Authorisation
I confirm I have selected either the Monthly Plan ($15.00 per month) or the Annual Plan ($160.00 per year), as disclosed above and in Document 6, as required by California's Automatic Renewal Law (Business and Professions Code Sections 17600 to 17606). I authorise Altrion.ai Inc. and its payment processor, Stripe, Inc., to charge my designated payment method the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis after the 14-day free trial, until I cancel. I understand I will receive advance notification before my trial ends, an annual renewal reminder at least 30 days before each Annual Plan renewal charge, a receipt with a cancellation link after every charge, and that I may cancel at any time. I agree to Altrion's Terms of Service (Document 3), Cookie Policy (Document 8), and all other documents in this package.
No signature, typed name, or printed form is required. Your legal acceptance of these terms is established by your individual checking of all 9 acknowledgment boxes above, your selection of a subscription plan, and clicking Activate My Account. That button click is your legally binding electronic signature under the E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. Section 7001). At the moment you click, Altrion's systems automatically capture and store a tamper-evident, cryptographically secured record of your acceptance, including a SHA-256 cryptographic hash of the document text as displayed to you. A confirmation email summarising your accepted documents and selected plan will be sent to your registered email address immediately.

Altrion accepts payment cards bearing the logos of Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, processed through Stripe. Each card network publishes its own rules and operating procedures that govern how merchants may accept, process, dispute, and disclose card-based transactions. Altrion is bound by these card network rules as a condition of its Stripe merchant agreement.
All Altrion.ai subscription payments are processed as card-not-present (CNP) transactions. Altrion processes all CNP transactions in compliance with card network CNP requirements, including Address Verification System (AVS) verification and CVV verification at the time of the initial transaction. Stripe supports 3D Secure authentication (marketed as Stripe Verify, and as Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check by the respective networks) where required by card network rules or requested by your card issuer.
When you are charged by Altrion, the charge will appear on your bank or credit card statement as ALTRION.AI or a variation thereof. If you do not recognise a charge from Altrion on your statement, please contact hello@altrion.ai before initiating a dispute with your card issuer.
| PCI DSS Item | Altrion's Posture |
|---|---|
| PCI DSS Version | PCI DSS version 4.0 (current as of Effective Date); Altrion will update its compliance posture as new versions are mandated by the PCI Security Standards Council. |
| Merchant Level | Level 4 merchant at launch (fewer than 20,000 Visa/Mastercard e-commerce transactions per year). Merchant level will be reassessed annually. |
| Validation Method | Self-Assessment Questionnaire A (SAQ A), the appropriate questionnaire for e-commerce merchants that fully outsource payment processing and card data capture to a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant third-party processor such as Stripe. |
| Annual Attestation | Altrion completes an annual PCI compliance self-assessment and attestation of compliance (AOC), relying on Stripe's PCI DSS Level 1 service provider certification for the underlying processing infrastructure. |
| Cardholder Data Environment | Altrion's CDE scope is minimised to the maximum extent possible by using Stripe-hosted card collection (Stripe.js / Stripe Elements). Full PANs never enter Altrion's systems or infrastructure. |
| Program | Description and Current Status |
|---|---|
| Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP) | Effective April 1, 2025 (enforcement from October 1, 2025). Monitors the combined ratio of all Visa CNP disputes divided by total CNP sales transactions. Merchants exceeding thresholds are assessed $8 per CNP dispute in excess of the threshold. |
| Mastercard Excessive Chargeback Program (ECP) | Monitors chargeback count and chargeback-to-transaction ratio monthly. Merchants in the Excessive tier are subject to monthly fines that escalate the longer the merchant remains in the program. |
| Mastercard Fraud Monitoring Program (FMP) | Monitors fraud dollar volumes and fraud-to-sales ratios for CNP transactions. Merchants exceeding FMP thresholds are subject to monthly assessments and may be required to implement enhanced fraud prevention measures. |
| American Express High Dispute Merchant Program | Applies to merchants with elevated dispute rates on American Express card transactions. Subject to monthly assessments and potential card acceptance restrictions. |
| Stripe Risk and Reserve Policy | Stripe independently monitors dispute rates, fraud rates, and reserve requirements across all Stripe merchants. Stripe may impose a rolling or fixed reserve, delay payouts, or suspend Altrion's account if dispute or fraud thresholds are exceeded, separate from card network programs. |
Every cost that Altrion incurs as a result of a chargeback, payment dispute, card network monitoring program fee, Stripe reserve or risk assessment, or associated enforcement action that is caused by your conduct will be charged back to you in full.
| Cost Category | Pass-Through Policy |
|---|---|
| Per-Dispute Fee | $15.00 per disputed transaction charged by Stripe, assessed regardless of dispute outcome. Passed through to you in full. |
| Representment Costs | Legal preparation, documentation, and submission costs incurred by Altrion in contesting a dispute on your account through Stripe's evidence-submission process. Passed through to you in full. |
| Original Subscription Charge | The subscription amount (Monthly or Annual) that was the subject of the dispute, if the dispute is found in Altrion's favour or withdrawn. Recovered from you in full. |
| VAMP Assessment Fees | $8 per CNP dispute in excess of VAMP thresholds, assessed by Visa. If your dispute contributes to Altrion crossing VAMP thresholds, the applicable assessment is passed through to you in full. |
| Mastercard ECP Fines | Monthly fines assessed by Mastercard if Altrion's chargeback ratio enters the Excessive Chargeback Program tier. Proportional attribution passed through to contributing users in full. |
| Stripe Reserve or Risk-Related Costs | Any reserve withholding, delayed payout, or account-level fee directly attributable to dispute or fraud activity on your account, to the extent quantifiable, passed through to you in full. |
| Legal and Administrative Costs | Attorney fees, compliance consultant costs, and internal administrative costs associated with responding to card network or Stripe enforcement actions. Passed through to contributing users in full. |
In addition to Altrion's obligations under California Civil Code Section 1798.82 and applicable federal law, Visa, Mastercard, and Stripe each impose independent contractual obligations on merchants when cardholder data may have been compromised. If Altrion knows or suspects that cardholder data has been compromised, Altrion is required to notify Stripe immediately, preserve all relevant logs, cooperate fully with any forensic investigation, and submit to a PCI DSS forensic investigation by a PCI Forensic Investigator (PFI) if required.
Altrion does not charge surcharges, convenience fees, or any additional fees on top of the stated subscription price for payment method type or for choosing the Monthly Plan versus the Annual Plan. The price displayed at checkout is the total amount you will be charged.
Altrion's subscription billing uses stored payment credentials (your tokenised card details held by Stripe) to initiate monthly or annual recurring charges, as applicable to your selected plan. Card networks have specific rules governing how stored credentials may be used for recurring merchant-initiated transactions. Altrion complies with Visa and Mastercard stored credential framework requirements through Stripe's compliant implementation. Altrion uses Stripe's automatic card-updater integration with the card networks, which automatically updates expired or replaced card credentials to minimise declined recurring charges without requiring you to re-enter your card details.
Card network rules are updated periodically by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Altrion monitors card network rule updates through its merchant relationship with Stripe and will update this Document 9 and related disclosure documents as needed. Updates to this document will be communicated in accordance with the notice provisions in Document 1, Section 1.5, and prior versions will be archived at altrion.ai/legal/versions.
